Nassam Yakubu confirms talks with Hearts of Oak

Goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu has confirmed holding talks over an appointment at Hearts of Oak.

The Black Stars coach is being pursued by the Phobians in the formation of their new technical team.

Yakubu will be named as Hearts’ new goalkeeper’s trainer by next week once negotiations are complete and an agreement is reached.

He will be joining former Ghana winger Yaw Preko who has been appointed assistant coach at Hearts.

Yakubu however wants the appointment to be confirmed first before passing detailed comment about his prospective role.

“We are talking but nothing has been concluded,” he said.

“Let’s not jump the gun yet. Let’s wait until everything is finalized.”

Hearts are also expected to announce the appointment of a new coach next week after failing to land their prime target Tom Strand.
