She made this known when she appeared on GTV’s Sports Plus show Sports Beat which was hosted by George Lartey.

On her routine appearance on the show Dr Mavis Asare who is also a lecturer at the Methodist University Collage in Accra said Ghanaian sportsmen are quick to give up.

Her assertions were corroborated by Pastor Michael Amankwah of the Lovefold Chapel, Accra, who also charged coaches and managers to bring the best out of their athletes.

Pastor Amankwah, admonished sportsmen to stretch themselves to achieve. He cited the examples of the "Rubberband" and said athletes must be able to go beyond the norm to win more laurels.
