Jordan Ayew confident of Lorient survival

Jordan Ayew is optimistic of Lorient's safety in the French Ligue 1 following their impressive 4-0 win over Metz that lifts them further away from relegation trouble.

A second half goal from the Ghana International and strikes from Mehdi Mostefa, Romain Philippoteaux and Lamine sealed Lorient three points and condemned Les Granats to playing in France's second tier next season.

The win was Lorient's second in three games, keeping them well on course for survival.

However, Jordan told Bein Sports: "There are two matches left and we have made a big step towards ou survival in the league but it is not all over until it is over.

"We deserve this win and I must congratulate the players, coaches and administration. Now we need one more win to secure our place."

Jordan has featured 29 times for Lorient, scoring 12 goals and has 6 assists to his name.
