Middlesbrough boss happy with Adomah’s Afcon snub

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka is happy with Albert Adomah’s Africa Cup of Nations snub by Ghana as it will go a long way to help the club’s promotion course.

Adomah has been key to the fortunes of the River Side Stadium outfit as they sit in the top four of the English championship and the former Madrid deputy coach has always insisted that the Ghanaian going to the Afcon will be a big blow to them.

The winger who was named in the provisional 31-man squad by Ghana coach Avram Grant was one of the five players dropped ahead of the team’s training camp in Spain.

With Spanish-born right back Emilio Nsue joining host Equatorial Guinea, Karanka will be content for now as Adomah is staying behind.
