South Africa writes to GFA to host Black Stars' pre-AFCON camping

South Africa has written to the Ghana FA to consider holding a pre-tournament camping at one of its training facilities, DailySoccerGhana.com can exclusively reveal.

Coach Avram Grant, who has reportedly proposed Spain as his preferred camping venue, will make a final decision soon after considering the two options available- South Africa and Abu Dhabi- which was suggested by the Ghana FA.

The Sports Ministry will hold a meeting with the Ghana FA later this month to discuss detailed budgets and travel plans once the pre-tournament camping venue is confirmed, according to Mahama Ayariga.

"There was no information on where he wants to camp his players. All of us had discussed where the camping would take place but the coach has a different opinion about where he wants to camp so I said hold on. Let's confirm from him so we can alter our travel plans," Mahama Ayariga said during the unveiling of Marcel Desailly's statue at the Lizzy Sports Complex last Friday.
