Let’s face our economic problems collectively – Alan K

Presidential hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, has used his Eid ul-Adha message to Muslims, to urge Ghanaians to work together to confront the nation’s collective economic problems.

“I enjoin all our citizens to remain resolute in the face of our collective socio-economic challenges as a nation, and embrace with an open heart, the need to be selfless, honest and disciplined for the restoration and progress of our dear nation”, Ghana’s former Ambassador to the United States said in a statement issued Friday.

Eid ul-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience of Allah’s command to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, as a sign of love and submission.

Making reference to that Quranic sacrifice, Kyerematen said: “Let us all be reminded by the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and the significance of willingly giving out something which is dear to us."

“We must be guided by this invaluable deed on this important day in order to reflect and be guided in our individual quest to live a just and a well spent life in our societies”, the statement said.

“I wish to extend my sincerest felicitation to all Muslims across the world, and particularly in Ghana, as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival," Kyerematen said.
