WC Probe: Fifa can’t intimidate Ghana – Foh Amoaning

A member of the three-man commission set up by the Ghana government to investigate happenings in Ghana’s camp at the 2014 World Cup, Moses Foh Amoaning, has said the body will not allow itself to be bullied by Fifa.

The world football’s governing body in a statement last week warned Ghana of a possible ban from international football if they go ahead to probe the Black Stars’ campaign at the global football fiesta in Brazil under government auspices.

“We would like to remind you FIFA member associations must manage their affairs independently, without any third party influence.

“Should any decision be rendered by the Commission against GFA officials thereby removing them from office, it would be considered as interference in the GFA affairs, and the case would be brought to FIFA’s highest instances for appropriate sanctions,” the statement noted.

Responding to the concerns of the Sepp Blatter-led organisation, Foh Amoaning said the Commission is not bothered by the threats of the football regulatory body.

“Don’t be too bothered by what Fifa is saying, I just want to say that under no circumstances would we be intimidated by what anybody from anywhere [says],” he told Accra-based Adom FM.
