Amputees football team preparing for Mexico 2014

The Ghana Amputee Football Federation (GAFF) in partnership with the Christian Council Micro Finance Limited (CCMF) have outlined the programme of their preparation towards the Mexico 2014 World Cup.

Mr. Kuku Dsane, President of the Federation, who made this known in an interview with the GNA, said the Amputees would have its first justifier for the Northern Sector in Kumasi from July 7 to 18, 2014 at the Paafio Park.

He said the second justifier for the Southern Sector would be held at the Accra Technical Training Centre from August 9 to 10.

Mr. Dsane said selected players from the Northern Sector would play the Southern Sector at the Lizzy Sports Complex on August 16, for the final selection to the Mexico 2014 World Cup.

He said after the final selection, the team would play its first international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium against the Iranian Amputee team on October 26.

“The team will embark on a two week training tour of Turkey from October 29 to November 11, and would honour two international friendly games.

The team is expected to continue its training in the US, where it would play three friendly matches before leaving for Mexico.
