Chocho Industry's CEO adjudged Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2013

Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng Founder/CEO of Chocho Industries Company Limited was last night adjudged Overall Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 at the 4th edition of Ghana Entrepreneur Awards.

Chocho Industries, West African market leader in herbal based cosmetics manufacturer beat more than 30 companies to emerge the overall winner of this year’s most celebrated award.

Adjudged the Best Ghana Made cosmetic manufacturing company in Ghana, the company produces fifteen different products including Chocho Cream and Chocho Soap.

Chocho Pharmacy is a licenced pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution company which manufactures range of products and distributes nationwide anti diabetes medications and analgesic.

Born on December 1950 at Kwabeng in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Alhaji Mustapha is a story of determination, persistence honesty and success. He attended a local Presbyterian School in Kwabeng and further trained as a printer at the world’s renowned Raqeen Press in London.

Alhaji Mustapha also attended a lot of training seminars both in Ghana and abroad including certificate programme in corporate governance and leadership and recently held World Conference on Religion in London. He also doubles as the Eastern Regional President of Ahmaddiyya Muslim Mission and the Jaidad of the Mission in Ghana.

Ghana Entrepreneur Awards is organized annually by Entrepreneur Foundation to recognise outstanding Ghanaian entrepreneurs and non Ghanaian resident entrepreneurs who continue to contribute towards national development through spurring job creation.

President and Founder of Entrepreneur Foundation Mr. Sam Ato Gaisie in his welcome address said the award is built on the idea that entrepreneurs will continue to innovate and sustain their leadership in their respective industry.

“Three elements are in place here; benchmarking against best practices, recognition of past and current entrepreneurship efforts, and continued publicity and public attention.” Mr. Gaisie said.

He however mentioned that his foundation will serve as an important medium to inspire Ghanaians to undertake the entrepreneurship path to enhance visibility of Ghanaian entrepreneurs and businesses.
