‘I will fight for Teachers Plight if ………. ‘- Paul Boakye

One of the GNAT Presidential Aspirating Candidates, Paul Adjei Boakye, has stated that he will always fight for the plights of teachers in the country, particularly those who are members of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) if the delegates who will be attending this year’s GNAT general Election which will take place next week Thursday in Accra vote for him to lead the associsyion for the next four years.
Mr. Paul Adjei Boakye, Ashanti Regional Chairman and headmaster of Jachie Pramso SHS made this statement on Saturday, when he was outlining his vision for the association on Yen Daakye Programme, a programme which looks into education, children and youth developmental issues on Jem 105.7 Fm, every Saturday morning between 9:00am to 10:00am.
He considered himself as the best candidate among the four aspirants and explained that the time has come for the delegates to vote for someone who will always defend the plights and rights of teachers and someone who can uplift the image of the teaching profession in the country.
He said that if the power is given to him to lead the association, he will send the association to the door steps of the ordinary members of the association as the grass root.
‘I will not be an arm-chair president of this noble and powerful association if I am voted into power’ he stressed.
Mr. Adjei Boakye, appealed to the delegates not to vote on tribal or religious line rather they should vote for someone who can work hard to move the association forward.
He said that if voted into power, he will team up with those who will loss the race and both those who will vote or not vote for him during the election to make the association more attractive to other teachers in the country.
