NPA warns pump stations over new fuel prices

The National Petroleum Authority is warning all pump stations to recalibrate their machines to the new prices of petroleum products.

Consumers are expected to enjoy some marginal reduction in the price of fuel that they buy from today.

As part of its fortnight review, the authority has announced a reduction in most petroleum products.

While petrol has gone down by 4.0 percent, that of diesel and LPG has also reduced by about 2.0 percent.

However, premix fuel used by fishermen has gone up by about 23 percent. Kerosene has also gone up by about 8 percent.

This is the first time in about four reviews that the price of petrol and diesel has gone down.

Previously, petrol was going for GH¢2 22 pesewas while diesel sold for GH¢2 24 pesewas per liter.
