There was drama on Okay FM that left listeners wondering what could have led to the estranged relationship between Hon. P.C Appiah-Ofori and Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby that, at the mere mention of the former’s name, the latter can quickly exclaim “Jesus Christ” and emphasized that he doesn’t want to get involved in a media war with him.
The former Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority was quick to jump on the offensive and make it clear that he has no intention whatsoever to add up to comments ignited by Hon. P.C. Appiah-Ofori.
Somewhere last Friday, the ex-Member of Parliament (MP) for Asikuma-Odoben Brakwa Constituency in the Central Region, Mr. Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori, warned all media houses not to solicit his views “on senseless talks that emanate from nonentities like Dr. Wereko-Brobby.”
Mr. Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori’s comments came on the heels of a press statement issued by Dr. Wereko-Brobby titled, “On The Face Of The Pink Sheets Or At The Heart Of The Matter” in which he berated the petitioners in the ongoing presidential election petition for using Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he described as a “clueless witness” to prosecute their case.
Hon. P.C Appiah-Ofori in a response stated that, he feels belittled when media houses constantly call him to respond to statements from “human beings with no brains like Dr. Wereko-Brobby”.
He rated him as a “foolish man” who knows he is at war with members of the New Patriotic Party and would do everything to join the NDC.
However, in a direct address to Hon. P.C. Appiah-Ofori, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby claimed that his colleague represented the word “disgrace” as defined in the English dictionary.
He noted that, it will only take a “disgraceful” human being like Appiah-Ofori to stand in public and make intense mockery of marital matters that should be kept away from public ear.
