MANAGEMENT OF Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) has organized an awards night during which the staffs were awarded for their hard work, dedication and long service.
The awards night dubbed as a family get-together party also recognized partners and distributors, as the night was a merry-making moment to enliven the spirits of workers for their contribution which has strengthened the position of the company in the alcoholic beverage market.
Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Martyn Mensah, who delivered a goodwill message on behalf of the founder and Group Chairman (GC) Dr. Kwabena Adjei, said the awards night was to show appreciation for the contribution of hard work, enthusiasm and dynamism of workers, without which the company would not have chalk great successes in the immediate past year.
Dr. Adjei noted that their hard work, dedication and commitment, as well as teamwork and good show, had propelled the company to chalk a lot of success, and thereby and commended the staff for their excellent performance that have earned the company a reputation both locally and internationally.
The GC said the company had over the years maintained a cradle of management team and that had endeared KCL to beat the competition with its various brands of products and this he said, made it possible for the products to make inroads in the international market.
He acknowledged that 2012 was a tough year yet and “I am proud of what we have accomplished as a firm, this very significant achievement was as a result of the hard working attitude of staff.”
Dr. Adjei added that based on these successes the alcoholic beverage company, this year has put in place strategies so to enable it to consolidate is position in the local and international. In view of this he exhorted workers to work hard to enable the company establish a solid foundation in the beverage market, which according to him, should be exemplary for others to emulate.
The KCL founder noted that in a global environment where competition and quality is the hallmark of success, “we need to look at old issues in a new way not simply for today but to make tomorrow more rewarding and with your help we can think anew and act anew on issues today for the sake of tomorrow.”
He assured hardworking staff they would always be recognized at the right time and this occasion is one of the moments when their sweat will be swiped away by management by rewarding them.
He said Management appreciates and value the contribution of workers, and certainly can count on their utmost dedication, commitment and professional which will elevate the status to higher than the previous year.
Kasapreko Company Limited was founded in Nungua, a suburb of Accra in response to the growing demand for good quality alcoholic drinks that were still within the means of the average Ghanaian. KCL, which was established some 24 years ago, has won several national and international awards over the past 12 years.
From its initial founding group of five workers, KCL now employs over 200 people with another 800 suppliers and vendors. The large market demand of the company’s products both locally and internationally has stirred the leadership of the company to acquire a 7,500-square metre production floor, housing a US$35million ultra-modern plant to meet its growing demand.
The plant has the highest machine speed spirit line across the globe, and two state-of-the-art bottling lines, with one producing 30,000 bottles an hour while the second one produces 40,000 an hour.
In line with meeting the high market demand and to ensure continuous production, a 3,000 cubic-metre capacity water storage reservoir, which is equivalent to three million litres, has been commissioned recently.
Last year, KCL was adjudged number six on the Ghana Club GC100 awards organized by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and for that matter, the number one indigenous company in Ghana. A few months later, the company was again adjudged the “Second Most Respected Company,” which was given by Price WaterHouse Coopers and the Business and Financial Times, whereas it’s the Managing Director, Martyn Mensah emerged as the “Third Most Respected CEO,” in Ghana.
