Ken Ofori Atta, Arthur Kennedy Lives In Danger - Kofi Wayo

The power-lust that drove Nana Akufo-Addo, flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to take to the ‘All-Die-Be-Die’ warmongering could boomerang on some big boys in the NPP itself very soon, Kofi Wayo has warned.

On the bet of foolproof intelligence that the United Renaissance Party (URP) founder has shown to The Enquirer, Wayo is alerting that the lives of Ken Ofori Atta, helmsman at Data Bank, and Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy, author of ‘Sending The Elephant Back Into The Bush,’ could be canceled by contract-killers with paymasters in the NPP.

The names of the two gentlemen, who have operated in the top hierarchy of the NPP before, have been penciled as nonconformists who must be shown the ‘Highway’ because they have refused to toe Akufo-Addo’s line.

Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta resonates with the memory of the $47 million that has been revealed by Wikileaks to have been stashed at Data Bank in 2008, while the money was splurged on Akufo-Addo’s lavish political campaign.

It would also be recalled that on account of Mr. Ofori-Atta sinking a lot of money from the vaults of Data Bank into Akufo-Addo’s campaign in 2008, a lot of the bank’s customers made moves to withdraw their monies from the bank. Mr. Wayo tells The Enquirer that Mr. Ofori-Atta has now been written in the black books of Akufo-Addo because he is currently pestering the NPP flag-bearer to return a bit of the good favor he did him in 2008 – repay some of the money that Data Bank sank into the 2008 campaign.

‘Chuck’ Kofi Wayo is of the opinion that the targeting of Ken Ofori-Atta is in so much bad taste because the man is demanding for a refund of some of the money that he lost in 2008 at a time when a lot of cash is flowing the way of Akufo-Addo’s campaign train.

He alleges that donations towards the Akufo-Addo’s 2012 campaign are raining in avalanches and that the NPP flagbearer’s stiff-handedness towards Mr. Ofori-Atta is only a matter of greed and ingratitude.

Also marked for target, Mr. Wayo alleges, is Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy, the NPP’s Communication Director for the 2008 campaign.

Mr. Wayo could not give the exact reason why Dr. Kennedy had made the alleged hit list, but he was emphatic that instructions had been given by a top-dog in the NPP that he should be shot at any good opportune time. “I am alerting these two guys because I fear God. In spite of the fact that we are political opponents, life is a gift from God that no human has right to destroy,” Mr. Wayo said.

The URP flag-bearer alleged that the savages behind the plots are boldly honing its execution because they know that the political polarization in the country would allow the crimes to feed into a rumour choreography that the NDC carried out the elimination.

Then an ensuing debate and trade of accusations between NPP and NDC would eventually dismiss the murders as collateral damage of politics.

Mr. Wayo alleges that former National Security Capo, Francis Poku, only escaped by a hair’s breadth in a similar targeting in 2007 – thanks to the timely bravado of Comrade Kwesi Pratt Jnr. and Social Commentator Owula Mangortey. “You recall the murder of Roko Frimpong?”He asked rhetorically.

The URP founder and leader also alleged that the late Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, who is alleged to have died of prostate cancer in South Africa, was actually eliminated because with Mr. Baah-Wiredu’s strong accounting background, he could not acquiesce to demands from the Kufuor regime to loot the coffers of Ghana.

Events in the aftermath of the death of Baah-Wiredu, where a certain man with an amorphous ministerial post was promoted as substantive Finance Minister in the place of Baah-Wiredu,Mr. Wayo said, was telltale that the demise of the late Finance Minister was deemed as good riddance.

“The two guys, especially Arthur Kennedy should thread cautiously,” Wayo said, adding “or he becomes a mortuary statistic soon.”

The URP founder however used the opportunity of the interview to send a direct challenge to the NPP hatchet men to dare escalate their violence beyond their own people and incur his wrath.

“Including Jake (Obetsebi-Lamptey) six of them (NPP top men) are under my watch. If they make a move, I will strike them back with more violence,” he warned.
