Use Energy To Protect Country’s Peace-YFM

The Youth have been advised to use their energy to protect the peace and tranquility currently existing in the country instead of engaging in any form of violence which seeks to destabilize the country during the upcoming general elections.
According to Mr. Selorm Amevor, Chief Spokesperson of Youth For Mahama (YFM) the upcoming general elections although very crucial should pass without any form of violence or instability which will erode the political, economic and social gains the nation has made over the past two decades.
“This can only be possible if we the youth do not allow any political party or individual to use as to foment violence now, during and even after the December general elections,” he said.
Addressing hundreds of youth at the end of a Health and peace walk in Ada in the Greater Accra region, Mr. Amevor indicated that Ghana has become the beacon of political stability in the continent and therefore it was necessary to protect such an enviable position.
He called on Ghanaians especially the Youth to vote for a Presidential Candidate who has displayed beyond reasonable doubt his commitment towards peace and this he believes is no other person than His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, President Mahama throughout his political career has carved a niche for himself as one of the finest politicians the country has ever had and since assuming the high office of President of Ghana he has consistently indicated his commitment to peace.
He therefore urged the youth to emulate the shining example of President Mahama by channeling their energy into activities that will positively contribute to peace during the upcoming elections.
Mr. Amevor indicated that the NDC government since 2009 has embarked on a lot of developmental activities such as elimination of schools under trees, road projects, the implementation of the single spine salary structure, the construction of two universities etc.
He therefore called on the electorates of ADA to ensure that they vote massively for the NDC so they party can continue with the Better Ghana agenda started by late President John Evans Atta Mills.
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Ms. Comfort Doeyo Cudjoe Ghansah in her address urged the electorates to live in unity and use alternative dispute resolution methods to settle their differences.
She further called on them to vote for her and the NDC so they can witness massive infrastructural development which they have deprived of over the years.
