Shop owners complain of slow market sales

Accra, Dec. 20, GNA - Shop owners and market women have complained about low sales as Christmas season gets closer.

Speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA) some traders at Accra Business Centre said prices of goods were high because of the increase in taxes on the goods and customers were not patronising them.

The prices of goods remain the same as compared to the beginning and the middle of the year and this has prevented customers from buying.

At the Kinbu Metro Mass Station, GNA observed that passengers were in a long queue waiting for their turn to board buses since there was not enough buses at the station

Mr Samuel Odei, Point Officer at the station, attributed the delay of buses to traffic jam in Accra.

He said irate passengers accused drivers for the delay but officials at the station calmed the passengers to avoid confusion
