Who Makes The AFCON Trip?

Names of the 23 men for the Equatorial Guinea-Gabon Nations Cup have emerged from several media quarters ahead of the January showpiece.

Some have even named those that will not be on the plane for the 28 th edition of the biennial championship.

But whether the names being bandied about are true or not would be known tomorrow when Ghana manager Goran 'Plavi' Stevanovic makes the list public at the GFA secretariat.

Countless discussions among the sporting populace have reached roof level, and there have been divergent opinions regarding who makes the grade.

Current leading top scorer in the Glo Premier League, New Edubiase's Emmanuel Baffoe, having scored 11 goals from 11 games, is a player many have touted to be a candidate for the championship, and his exclusion would raise eyebrows.

South Korea-based Derek Asamoah, Champions League winner Harrison Afful and others are some of the names Ghanaians are expecting in today's roll call.

Plavi, after naming the squad, will also announce his training schedule for the forthcoming assignment.

Ghana, pre tourney favourites, are pitted against Guinea, Mali and Botswana in Group D.
