Moslem youth across the length and breadth of the Ghana have vowed to punish the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his party, severely, come December 2012, for committing “haram”.

On August 31, 2011; a day set aside by the nation as a national holiday for celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr, climaxing the Moslems’ holy month of Ramadan, was the day chosen by Nana Akufo-Addo and his Akyem Mafia; under the auspices of the Danquah Institute, to exhibit gross disregard toward the Islam Religion as well as Moslems in Ghana.

When well-meaning Ghanaians joined President Mills to give Moslems their due, the Ghana’s largest opposition party leader, Nana Akufo-Addo and his Akyem-driven NPP chose to foul the holy atmosphere with politics of insults and name-calling.

On the last day of August, Akufo-Addo and his Akyem cabal decided to spit in the face of the Moslem world, when they desecrated the Holy Holiday via Akufo-Addo’s lifeless political speech at the Physicians and Surgeons Auditorium, at Ridge, in Accra.

Ignoring the noble call of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Shar’butu for politicians to be circumspect in their choice of words, Nana Akufo-Addo chose to spit in the face of Islam the venerable Chief Imam leads.
Unable to stomach the way Akufo-Addo and the NPP desecrated the Eid, Moslem youth have vowed to propagate the NPP’s anti-Muslim gospel, for all Moslems to know, that they will suffer under an Akufo-Addo presidency.
Speaking to The Informer, Halidu Haruna, a Moslem youth, said that Akufo-Addo’s indiscretion is a great insult to the Ghanaian Moslem community.
According to Halidu, it is a known fact that, the UP tradition disrespects Moslems, but never did he imagine that the NPP will openly exhibit its disrespect for Islam, at this modern time.
“This is unbelievable!!! How can a person who is vying to become President of Ghana show so much disrespect and disregard to Moslems?” Halidu asked rhetorically.
“Honestly, we will punish Akufo-Addo and the NPP severely come December 7th 2012. Some of us will continue to fast and pray for Allah, to make sure that Akufo-Addo never becomes President of Ghana; because he will divide and destroy this nation”, Halidu added in an angry tone.
“Their forefathers disrespected Ghanaian Moslems and now Akufo-Addo and his gang of Akyem boys, are also insulting Allah and Islam; and we will not forgive them for what they have done” Halidu continued.
He says, Nana Akufo-Addo has succeeded in destroying himself because what he did was sacrilegious.
Apart from Halidu Haruna, scores of Moslem youth who spoke to The Informer also emphasize the point that, they will do everything possible to make it difficult for Akufo-Addo and the NPP to campaign in the Zongos across the country.
When former President Kufuor, his Chief of Staff, Kwadwo ‘Kyere Mpiani, a sexy nephew, Richard Anane and the core group of the Ashanti divide of the NPP chose to support Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen instead of Akufo-Addo, they most certainly knew that Akufo-Addo was going to lead the NPP into the graveyard of politics.
Even though Mr. Kufuor and his Ashanti gang did the nation no good regarding their looting and stealing agenda, they knew that Nana Akufo-Addo will further destroy the image of the NPP.
True to the prediction of Kufuor and his Ashanti group, Nana Akufo-Addo and his Akyem mafiosi have succeeded in finding a lasting place of rest for the NPP in the aftermath of 2012 elections.
