All Set For CPP National Delegates Congress.

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) confirms that the next National Delegates Congress will take place at the International Trade Fair Centre, La, Accra; Pavilion E, on Friday 9th to Saturday 10th September, 2011.

Delegates at the Congress will receive the National Executive Committee NEC report as well as consider and adopt recommendations for the amendment of the party’s constitution.

Highlights of the congress will be the election of national officers to manage the affairs of the party for the next four years. At least a total of 2,000 delegates drawn from the 230 constituencies and other office holders provided under the party’s constitution are expected to attend.

The officers to be elected include:

1. National Chairman.

2. Three National Vice-Chairmen.

3. General Secretary

4. National Treasurer

5. National Organiser

6. National Women's Organiser and

7. National Youth Organiser.

The Party wishes all delegates a safe journey to and from the national congress and assures the rank and file that adequate preparations are in place to ensure a successful congress.

All candidates and their supporters are exhorted to be of good conduct to permit an atmosphere of peace and transparency necessary for fair and free elections.
