NCA welcomes confirmation of Mrs Enninful, Mrs Issahaq-Pelpuo

Accra, Aug. 23, GNA - The National Communication Authority (NCA), has welcomed the appointment of Mr Enninful and Mrs Rehmata Issahaq-Pelpuo as Deputy Director-General and the Board Secretary respectively. They both hold offices in acting capacities pending confirmation of their respective positions by the Public Services Commission.

A statement signed on Tuesday by Mr Mawuko Zormelo, Acting Head, Consumer and Corporate Affairs Division and copied to Ghana News Agency said Mr Enninful is a telecommunications/systems engineering professional with more than 20 years working experience in the US, Switzerland, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ukraine, Zimbabwe and West Africa.

It said his areas of experience included telecommunications network design and planning, network operations support, quality of service, signalling protocols, project management and systems engineering for fixed, mobile and converged networks.

The statement said since 2007, Mr Enninful has been an independent telecommunications/systems engineering consultant and has consulted on a number of telecommunications projects in the US and Africa while he has had experience working with network vendors including Ericsson, Comverse, Huawei, Cisco, Lucent and Siemens.

Mr Enninful has BSc from the University of Ghana and MSc from New Mexico State University in Computer Science.

The statement said Mrs Issahaq-Pelpuo would bring her over 11 years experience in Corporate Legal Practice to the NCA.

Mrs Issahaq-Pelpuo joins the NCA from International Commercial Bank Limited, where she served as the Head of Legal Department and Company Secretary for almost nine years and also served in similar capacity with Sikaman Savings and Loans Company Limited, now ProCredit for two years after serving as the in-house Legal Consultant for the Promoters of Sikaman Savings and Loans Company.

She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and holds a Bachelors of Law Degree (LLB) and an Executive MBA in Human resource Management from the University of Ghana, Legon.

The NCA said it was pleased to have Mr Eninful and Mrs Issahaq-Pelpuo on board and look to a prosperous future with them.
