Synergy Is The Way For Africa- Dr Joyce Aryee

Africans have been advised to work together to harness the power of synergy to unlock poverty, which is endemic in several African countries.
This was disclosed during the official launch and opening ceremony of the 2011 MILEAD FELLOWS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE by the Moremi Women’s Initiative at the Kwame Nkrumah Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana.
In a speech by the Chairperson, Rev. Dr Joyce Aryee made it known that, “Africa has many resources untapped” and thus has to break those barriers. She acknowledged the need for Africa to combine its natural resources in order to be self-sufficient as a continent. According to her, “the continent is faced with several challenges and Africans need to work together because we are facing other continents that believe in working together as a special balance”.
The C.E.O. of the Ghana Chamber of Mines conveys the idea that, “Africa has to be informed in order to change the status quo. This commitment requires diligence, integrity and sacrifice. It does not matter if we don’t live on the continent. Think of the jasmine revolution and believe that nothing is impossible”.
Initiative for Moremi women’s leadership in Africa is an award winning international annual conference designed to sanction women in Africa to live up to their truest selves; women who build legacies, transform leadership, more people to work and improve the state of Africa.
The summit was brainchild of effusion motivate, a personal and corporate life enrichment firm focusing on re-energizing people through capacity building programs to inspire transformational change.
In a statement by Professor Akosua Ampofo, Director for African studies, she said nobody remembers what you wore as a youth but remembers the kind of person you were. She believes there is a reason why God will place anyone on the African continent and every African has a role to perform in shaping Africa’s future.
In the Principal Speaker’s closing remarks, Dr. Aryee encouraged Africans to embrace challenges because of their power to surmount solutions.
“You should not be the number one but wherever you are, you can be a solution. The reason why Africa will be different from today is the reality of hope with young and vibrant women ready to make a change in Africa and the world at large”.
