Vodafone organises maiden Vodafone Distributor Awards

Accra, May 17, - GNA - The overall Best Distributor for the maiden Vodafone Distributor Awards went to GNJ Communications, which won a Hyundai H12 Van, a desk top PC, a 3 in1 Printer and a Plaque.

GNJ company took the award for its consistent target achievement, investment in distribution infrastructure and its closeness to wholesalers and retailers at the event, which was organized by MobileWorld Best Telecom brand at the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday.

It was to recognize the efforts of its distributors and celebrate the efficient distribution network powered by Vodafone distributors, which along with the introduction of innovative products and services, has led to noteworthy success.

Vodafone Ghana achieved a year on year growth of 36 per cent in mobile revenue, which was three times faster than the market growth and also exceeded three million in its customer base and continues to grow at an exponential rate.

Other categories included, Best Distributor 96 Electronic Distribution which was won by, TextGenesys, Best Distributor 96 Airtime Sales won by Mobile Max Limited, Best Distributor Territorial Compliance won by Target Link and Best Distributor Customer Acquisition won by Nantel Systems. Mr Kwame Baah emerged as the Best Regional Sales Manager 96 Acquisition, while Mr Ishak Abdullah and Mr Pattison Antor won Best Territory Sales Representative 96 Acquisition and Best Territory Sales Representative 96 Distribution respectively. Each representative won for himself a 42" LCD TV set and a Plaque.

The event also saw all 12 distributors, Nantel Systems, GNJ Communications, Mobile Max Limited, Bayfield Global Systems, Target Link Limited, Nuhu Co Limited, Anzifah Consultant, Alvin Telecom Limited, G. Telecom Limited, TextGenesys, Afric Xpress and Gramaldi Limited being recognized for contributing to Vodafone Ghana's success story. Each company received 2 motorbikes and a plaque.

According to Mr Michael Nii Boye Adjei, Sales Director at Vodafone, "Vodafone recognizes the contributions of our channel partners in its success story. Our distributors continue to play a very significant role in the value chain.
