Members of Israel United in Christ (IUIC), alongside family members and community advocates, have marched through the streets of Bronx in New York, demanding justice for two Ghanaians who died in separate incidents within days of each other.
They stressed the need for accountability over the deaths of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, who was shot and killed while walking to school on October 29, 2026, and 24-year-old Joseph Owusu, whose body was discovered inside a duffel bag days after the teens' death.

Javits’ death in particular has sparked calls for justice, following claims by his father that the teenager had experienced bullying at school shortly before the shooting.
Police have not confirmed bullying as a motive for the killing, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing.
Also, no arrests have currently been made.
On the other hand, Owusu, 24, was reported missing before his body was discovered inside a black duffel bag in New York.
Surveillance footage released by US media showed two individuals removing the bag containing his body from a white saloon car and leaving it on a pavement in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
The footage, which has formed part of reports surrounding his death, showed the individuals dragging the bag from the vehicle before driving away.
