The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that all travellers arriving in Ghana will be required to complete a mandatory Health Declaration Form before embarking on their journey, effective Thursday, November 12, 2026.
The directive requires all passengers travelling to the country to complete and submit the online form before departure as part of measures to strengthen public health monitoring.
In a statement dated Saturday, November 7, 2026, the Service said the new requirement is intended to strengthen Ghana's public health surveillance and preparedness systems while improving the monitoring of potential health risks.
“The measure is intended to strengthen Ghana's public health surveillance and preparedness systems, enhance the monitoring of potential public health risks, and safeguard the health and well-being of both residents and visitors,” the statement said.
The GHS has therefore advised all prospective travellers to ensure they complete and submit the form before departure through its designated online portal.
