A 23-year-old woman, identified as Esther Okere, is seeking to end her marriage to her husband, Fidelis Arkah, over what she describes as his inability to sexually satisfy her.

Speaking on Akoma FM’s programme, which addresses and resolves domestic and marital disputes, Esther recounted how she met Fidelis when she was 13 years old and in Primary Five at Kintampo. According to her, the two began a relationship despite strong opposition from both families.

She disclosed that she went ahead with the relationship and eventually became pregnant for Fidelis, prompting him to marry her.

However, Esther claimed that her husband's sexual performance began to deteriorate after they had their first child, leaving her dissatisfied with their intimate life.

According to her, although her husband's manhood is of an appreciable size, he ejaculates within seconds and is unable to last long during sexual intercourse. She added that the situation has worsened since she gave birth.

“Although his manhood is okay in terms of size, he doesn't last. He ejaculates after just a few seconds. Even during foreplay, when we are touching each other, he ejaculates before we can have sex. After I gave birth, the situation became worse and his manhood became weak and soft,” she explained.

Esther further disclosed that she had made several attempts to encourage her husband to seek solutions to the problem but he allegedly refused to take the necessary steps to address it, despite their continued marital difficulties.

Recounting how the problem affected their intimacy even before they began having sex, she said her husband would sometimes ejaculate during foreplay, making it difficult for them to enjoy a fulfilling sexual relationship.

She explained that she would sometimes have to make herself available for intercourse as soon as she noticed he was sexually aroused because she feared he would ejaculate before they could have sex.

“Even when I was still a virgin and we were only engaging in romantic activities without having sex, he could ejaculate without us doing anything. Sometimes, whenever I noticed he was in the mood, I would make myself available quickly so he could have sex with me before ejaculating,” she recounted.

Esther said her frustration eventually drove her to cheat on her husband in an attempt to make him end the marriage, as she claimed he had repeatedly refused to grant her a divorce.

She revealed that she once left home and spent three days with another man. Upon returning, she confessed the affair to her husband, hoping it would convince him to let her go.

“I wanted to leave the marriage but he wouldn't allow me. He had also become suspicious of my movements and whenever I wanted to go somewhere, he would question me extensively. So, I met another man and went to stay with him for three days without returning home.

“When I came back, he questioned me and I told him what had happened, hoping he would let me go. But he refused and said he still loved me. He even admitted that his sexual problem was the reason I cheated, but I still want a divorce,” she said.

Esther added that she initially found it difficult to disclose the intimate nature of their marital problems to her parents because she was uncomfortable discussing such personal matters.

However, she eventually opened up to them about the situation and expressed her desire to end the marriage.

Despite her decision, she claimed that Fidelis remains unwilling to divorce her, prompting her to seek intervention from the radio programme, where the couple's marital dispute was brought before the presenters for resolution.
