The death of Fabulous Ladies FC player Agartha Takyiwaa has sent shockwaves across the football fraternity, with details of her journey into the Pragya business also coming to light.
According to the club’s head coach, Nana Atuahene, the late footballer completed her education from the basic school level through to senior high school (SHS).
However, after completing senior high school, Agartha considered her options before deciding on her next career move and eventually ventured into the bus conductor business.

She later shifted from working as a bus conductor to operating a commercial tricycle, popularly known as a Pragya, which she rode herself to earn a living.
“Agartha Takyiwaa decided not to continue her education after SHS. She wanted to focus on football and other businesses. She started as a bus conductor (mate), and this year she informed us she wanted to start the Pragya business,” Coach Atuahene told Sporty FM.
Agartha combined her football career with commercial tricycle operations to earn a living, a venture she was pursuing before her untimely death.
Initial reports suggest that the young footballer was killed after accepting a request to transport a passenger. The person who reportedly hired her services is alleged to have attacked her with a knife, stabbing her and slitting her throat.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain disturbing, although the precise sequence of events and details of the alleged attack have yet to be officially established.
According to Atuahene, two suspects have been arrested in Techiman in the Bono East Region while allegedly attempting to flee from security personnel.
They were reportedly found in possession of Agartha’s tricycle and mobile phone, raising further questions about their possible involvement in her death.
