The Convener for the Justice and Accountability Forum has demanded urgent updates from the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dominic Ayine regarding ongoing high-profile corruption cases currently before the courts.
Nana Bonsu noted that the Attorney General had previously assured Ghanaians that several former government appointees would face justice for various acts of corruption.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM on October 30, 2026, he noted that though some persons have been accused of embezzling funds, there seem to be no update on the cases.
He stated that it is not right that the Minister of Justice who had given Ghanaians the strongest assurance that the state will prosecute these corrupt people is no longer providing public updates like he used to.
Nana Bonsu stressed that Ghanaians will not forgive this government if it fails to prosecute and recover all the stolen resources.
"We must do our best in recovering every stolen cash from those who stole from us while we take steps to confiscated every property ill-goten from the stolen resources," he said.
He called on President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that the promised to retrieve the loot is fulfilled.
According to them, there must be no delays in these cases.
He added that his organisation will continue to demand updates until every penny stolen from the public purse is retrieved.
