The widow of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, Akosua Serwah Fosuh, has filed a GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit against social media commentator Elizabeth Opuni, popularly known as Maa Lizzy.
The suit, filed at the High Court in Accra, accuses the TikToker of publishing a series of allegedly false and defamatory statements about Fosuh following the death of her husband.
According to court documents sighted, the action was filed on October 15, 2026, under suit number GJ/0050/2027.
Fosuh, a professional nurse based in Germany, is pursuing the case through her lawful attorney, Rachel Kissiwaa Akowuah, with legal representation from Kllenn Law Office, led by Francis Yaw Adiasani.
In her statement of claim, Fosuh says she has built a strong reputation as a professional, wife, mother and respectable member of society in Ghana, Germany and beyond.
She argues that the alleged publications have damaged her personal dignity, family standing and professional reputation.
The plaintiff also notes that she has become widely known as "Team Legal Wife" amid public discussions surrounding Daddy Lumba's death and his family.
The court documents identify the defendant as the operator of a TikTok account under the name Maa Lizzy, which allegedly had more than 320,000 followers as of October 12, 2026.
Fosuh alleges that the defendant has engaged in a sustained campaign of publishing offensive and fabricated claims about her, with some of the videos subsequently circulated by other bloggers, extending their reach to audiences in Ghana and abroad.
The alleged publications were made in Twi, with the statement of claim providing English translations of the complained-of remarks.

Among the statements cited in the suit are allegations concerning the plaintiff's sexual conduct, personal character and past relationships.
The documents also attribute to the defendant claims that Fosuh had been involved in the deaths of previous husbands and that she used witchcraft and promiscuity against the late musician.
Fosuh denies the allegations, describing them as false and defamatory.
The widow is asking the High Court to declare that the alleged publications are false and defamatory and that their ordinary meaning was capable of exposing her to hatred, ridicule, humiliation and public disrepute.
She is also seeking a perpetual injunction to prevent Maa Lizzy, her agents and assigns from publishing the allegedly defamatory statements or making further similar allegations against her.
Additionally, Fosuh wants the court to order the defendant to retract the publications and issue an unqualified public apology with prominence and visibility comparable to that of the original content on TikTok and other platforms.
The plaintiff is seeking GH¢10 million in general damages, including aggravated damages, in addition to legal costs and any other relief the court considers appropriate.
The writ of summons directs the defendant to enter an appearance within eight days after service of the court documents, failing which the court may proceed to give judgment in her absence.
