A female kenkey seller has reportedly been arrested and arraigned in court over the death of a 52-year-old tailor, Felix Amanor, whose body was discovered by the roadside near Dominion City at Pantoase in the Eastern Region on July 5, 2026.

The suspect allegedly told investigators that Amanor collapsed and died while they were having an intimate encounter. She reportedly moved his body and abandoned it by the roadside out of fear that her estranged husband would discover the encounter.

The suspect has since been granted bail, while the police have forwarded the case docket to the Attorney-General’s Office for advice on the next legal steps.

Amanor, who lived at Blue Street near Adweso, was last seen on July 4, 2026, a day before his body was discovered. His clothes and shop keys were reportedly found near the body.

Police investigations reportedly involved contact tracing and efforts to establish the identity of the suspect as officers worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the tailor’s death.

Amanor was buried on October 4, 2026, leaving behind his sick wife and two children.

The case remains subject to the legal process, with the Attorney-General’s advice expected to guide the next steps in the prosecution. The allegations against the suspect have not been established in court, and the circumstances surrounding Amanor’s death remain under investigation.
