“‘I appreciate you’ can mean more than we realise. We cannot prevent every loss, but we can make our love and gratitude known while we have the opportunity.
"Ato, when I think of you, I remember the time you gave me, the help you offered and the warmth of your presence. Your kindness made a difference in my life,” he wrote.
He continued: “I do not have all the answers to why we are here. But your life reminds me that part of our purpose must be to care for one another and help others move forward. Rest peacefully, Dr Ato Kwamena Sagoe.”
The late doctor is survived by his wife and four-year-old daughter.
Sagoe pursued a career in medicine and earned qualifications including a Doctor of Medicine (MD), a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
