The Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Samson Awingobit, has expressed his displeasure over President John Dramani Mahama’s failure to fulfil a promise he allegedly made to him during the 2024 election campaign.

In an interview on Starr FM on October 27, 2026, Samson claimed that he was involved in an accident while campaigning for President Mahama during the 2024 elections.

According to him, President Mahama promised to get him a new vehicle following the accident, but the promise has yet to be fulfilled.

“I told President Mahama, and he said he would find a car for me. Till date, he has not. On the 13th or 15th, I took my Land Cruiser.

“Since that accident in 2024, the engine has given up on me,” he said.

Samson further revealed that he had made several attempts to reach the President, but all his efforts had proved futile.

“Last week, I raised the issue. I sent him a message and pictures of my car, but he has not replied.

“When I raised the issue, I told him that the car that got involved in an accident in 2024, and which he said he would get a replacement for, has given up,” he added.
