The 2026 HR Professionals Summit & Awards is set to bring together human resource practitioners, business executives, policymakers and industry leaders from across Africa to explore strategies for transforming workplaces and strengthening organisational performance.

The summit will focus on repositioning human resources (HR) as a strategic driver of business growth, leadership development and sustainable economic transformation, amid rapid technological advancement and changing workforce demands across the continent.

According to the event organisers, the summit will provide a platform for participants to exchange ideas, examine emerging workforce trends and develop practical strategies for building resilient, future-ready organisations.

The organisers noted that Africa’s demographic advantage, digital transformation and growing economic integration present significant opportunities, but stressed that realising these opportunities will require effective leadership, talent development and stronger HR systems.

The 2026 edition, which takes place on Friday November 20, 2026 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, is designed to move beyond traditional HR administration and compliance towards a more strategic, technology-enabled and culturally responsive approach to workforce management.

Participants are expected to examine regulatory changes, workforce data intelligence and the continent’s evolving talent landscape, with the aim of equipping HR professionals to contribute more directly to organisational growth and competitiveness.

The summit will also facilitate knowledge exchange among HR leaders from Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda and Kenya, with speakers and panellists expected to represent sectors including people and culture, technology, employment law, public service and development institutions.

A key feature of the event will be the HR Leadership Speed Coaching session, which will offer participants focused coaching conversations with experienced HR and business leaders from across Africa.

The session will address strategic HR leadership, career advancement, executive presence, the role of HR in business transformation and strategies for navigating complex workforce challenges.

Beyond professional development, the summit will recognise outstanding contributions to human resource management through its awards component, highlighting individuals and organisations helping to shape Africa’s workforce.

The organisers expect the event to strengthen cross-border HR networks, promote continental collaboration and provide actionable insights for building effective and resilient HR ecosystems.

The target audience includes chief human resource officers, HR directors, heads of people and culture, chief executive officers, business leaders, consultants, public sector HR practitioners, policymakers and emerging professionals.

The summit also aims to establish itself as a leading pan-African platform for thought leadership on human resource management, leadership development and the future of work.
