The United States (US) government has released visuals and documents of some unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that were previously classified.

The latest release by the US Department of War, according to multiple reports, showed a mysterious ‘black triangle’ flying object spotted over a sensitive US military facility.

The reports indicate that the new Pentagon UFO files detail an FBI agents’ sighting of a silent triangular object with no visible engines hovering 200–300 feet above a ridgeline before vanishing within seconds earlier this year (2026).

“The claimed sighting, by anonymous sources with ‘extensive operational experience working alongside government agencies’, occurred at a location that was redacted in the file made public on Friday.

“The ‘unidentified anomalous phenomenon’ (UAP), a term that has superseded UFO in military, governmental and scientific circles, resembled a delta-wing drone with a wingspan between nine and 15ft (2.75 to 4.5m), the observers recalled. They calculated its speed at 1,800mph,” part of a report by theguardian.com read.

A report by foxnews.com indicated that the latest sighting is among several incidents detailed in the newly released records examining unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), alongside decades-old military encounters and reports of mysterious creatures, unexplained lights and supposed portals at a Utah ranch.

According to the Fox News report, one of the UFO sightings details an encounter with a dark, non-reflective triangular object resembling a drone, with an estimated wingspan of nine to 15 feet and no visible exhaust or conventional propulsion system.

The FBI agents to whom the sighting was attributed reportedly said the object rose vertically above a ridgeline before accelerating into a canyon without making a sound.

Another image released from a 2026 FBI report by the Department of War, which is yet to be confirmed as an actual photograph or a reconstruction, depicted a black triangular object above mountainous terrain.
