Aki-Ola Publications Company Limited has donated educational books valued at GH¢482,410 to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support teaching and learning and promote a reading culture among students across Ghana.

The donation forms part of GETFund’s Education Financing and Partnership Initiative (EFPI), which is being championed by the Fund’s Administrator, Paul Adjei, to strengthen collaboration with private-sector organisations and other stakeholders in mobilising additional resources for educational development.

The initiative reflects Adjei’s drive to complement government investment in education by encouraging corporate organisations, development partners, foundations, alumni groups and other stakeholders to contribute to addressing priority educational needs.

The books were presented by the Managing Director of Aki-Ola Publications, Peter Asiedu, and received by the Deputy Administrator of GETFund, Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa, on behalf of the Fund.

Through the EFPI, GETFund seeks to improve access to essential educational resources and support interventions that enhance teaching and learning outcomes across the country.

The donated books are expected to support classroom instruction, independent learning and knowledge acquisition, while encouraging students to develop a sustained interest in reading. The materials will also help strengthen learners’ academic foundations and support their educational progression.

Asiedu reaffirmed Aki-Ola Publications’ commitment to advancing education, emphasising the importance of books in improving teaching and learning and inspiring students to cultivate the habit of reading.

The contribution highlights the role of private-sector partnerships in supporting educational development and demonstrates the potential of the EFPI, under Adjei’s leadership, to mobilise resources that complement public investment in Ghana’s education sector.
