The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, says he does not know why Ghana Premier League clubs have yet to receive the promised GH¢1 million
According to him, he has not been briefed on the funds in question and is therefore unaware of the association’s payment plans.
When pressed further, he declined to make a definitive statement on the matter, explaining that commenting without sufficient information could put his position at risk given the sensitive nature of the issue.

Speaking in an interview with MX FM, Asante Twum said he would follow up with the relevant department of the association and provide an update when necessary.
“The club CEOs are saying they haven’t received the money? I don’t know why, because I haven’t found out. I may lie if I say anything, and my seat is very sensitive, so I need to check and know why before I can make any comment,” he said.
His comments come amid concerns from club chief executive officers (CEOs) and other stakeholders over the delay in releasing the funds, as clubs continue to grapple with daily operational costs despite the promise of financial support.
