Accra Hearts of Oak have turned the University of Ghana Stadium into a defensive stronghold in the Ghana Premier League, establishing a record that underlines their ability to frustrate opponents on home soil.
Across 10 league matches at the Legon venue, the Phobians have kept 10 consecutive clean sheets, leaving visiting teams without an answer to their defensive organisation.
Their record has been built on resilience, concentration and an ability to protect results, even when their attacking play has not produced enough goals to turn every match into a victory.
One notable example came against Samartex in December 2025, when Hearts secured a 1-0 victory. Hamza Issah scored the decisive goal after Mawuli Wayo capitalised on a defensive error to create the opportunity. Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi also made an important early save to prevent the visitors from taking the lead.

The Phobians also played out a goalless draw against Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Stadium in February 2026.
Despite creating opportunities, Hearts could not find a breakthrough, but their defence remained intact. Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare made an important save, while Chelsea's Mohammed Seidu produced a crucial goal-line clearance at the other end.
Those performances illustrate the balance between defensive resilience and attacking limitations that has characterised the record.
Five draws among the 10 matches show that Hearts have not always converted their defensive superiority into maximum points. Their eight goals scored across the run also suggest there is room for improvement in the final third.
Nevertheless, keeping a clean sheet in every match is a significant achievement in a competition where even a single defensive lapse can determine the outcome.
For Hearts, the challenge is to preserve their formidable defensive record while adding greater firepower to their attack.
If they can combine both qualities, their fortress at Legon could become one of the most difficult grounds for Ghana Premier League opponents to conquer.
