In a post on X, Franklin Cudjoe commended the Old Tafo Member of Parliament, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, for bringing further details about the issue to the public's attention, describing it as a matter of national concern.

“Regarding the grave matters from the recently held World Cup, Parliament must investigate the matter, while investigative authorities do their part. We must end the waste and chicanery! Kudos to Hon. Vincent,” he wrote.

This comes as the Ghana Police Service investigates the 2026 World Cup visa scandal involving the National Sports Authority (NSA), the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and Tribe Culture Fest.

Reports indicate that some individuals allegedly paid $15,000 for visa facilitation but were unsuccessful in obtaining visas and subsequently demanded refunds.

The police are continuing their investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the matter and ensure that anyone found culpable is held accountable.
