Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has thrown his support behind 40-year-old Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as “Ghana Jollof.”

In a news card shared by GHOne TV and sighted by GhanaWeb on October 8, 2026, Freddie Blay “glorified” Ghana Jollof for her actions.

According to the former NPP chairman, Barbara Asantewaa Kodua is an intelligent woman who is also making contributions to the country.

Freddie Blay explained that the individual behind the TikTok account identified as Ghana Jollof knows what she is doing, hence justifying her actions as a good one.

“Ghana Jollof is a very intelligent woman making contributions. There’s a good reason for her to do what she’s doing,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has declared Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as “Ghana Jollof”, wanted over an alleged case of incitement of violence.

A wanted-person notice issued by the Police identifies Kodua as a 40-year-old woman who is fair in complexion and was last seen at the Accra International Airport on August 4, 2022.

The Police said she is suspected of hiding in the United Kingdom.
