The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has granted Manhyia South Member of Parliament, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, bail in the sum of GH¢50 million with three sureties, according to a citinewsroom.com report on October 2, 2026.
Baffour Awuah has denied receiving the alleged GH¢2.2 million in legal fees and has also contested aspects of EOCO’s account concerning its previous attempts to have him report for questioning.
EOCO has maintained that its investigations are still ongoing and has cautioned the public against reaching conclusions about the culpability of any individual until the investigative and judicial processes have been concluded.
The MP voluntarily reported to EOCO’s office at about 10 a.m. to assist with investigations into allegations of economic and organised crime.
