The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has reportedly arrested three people who were flying drones at its premises.
According to a report by JoyNews, the suspects, who include a woman, were seen flying the drones after South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah presented himself to the office following the issuance of an arrest warrant for him.
A report showed the drone hovering over the EOCO premises on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The reporter indicated that security officers came out from the office looking for the person who was flying the drone.
The person managed to trace some of the suspects who were reportedly seen controlling the drone.
The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has reported himself to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
His decision follows an arrest warrant issued against him by the Accra High Court.
An earlier report by GhanaWeb indicated that the court granted the warrant after lawyers for the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) applied for it on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Baffour Awuah reports himself to EOCO
EOCO, through its lawyers, told the court that its officers had exhausted reasonable means of securing Baffour Awuah's voluntary appearance in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The office also argued that an arrest was necessary over concerns that documents relevant to the investigation could be concealed, altered or destroyed. It subsequently sought a warrant to search for and seize relevant documents, which the court reportedly granted.
The investigation is reportedly linked to Baffour Awuah's previous representation of SIC Life Insurance Limited in a legal case before he became a Member of Parliament.
