A former Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of Airports under the administration of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Hopeson Adorye, has alleged that Ghana’s security agencies have tracked down the whereabouts of 40-year-old Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as “Ghana Jollof.”

According to Hopeson Adorye, Ghana Jollof can no longer evade the security agencies and will soon be arrested and brought back to Ghana.

He also alleged that Ghana Jollof’s Facebook account, which has since been taken down, was disabled by UK authorities and not by Ghanaian security agencies.

Speaking in an interview on TVXYZ on September 29, 2026, Adorye further claimed that some New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials and Members of Parliament are allegedly supporting Ghana Jollof financially by sending her money through mobile money platforms.

He said the transactions are traceable and could be presented as evidence in court against those involved.

“Take note from today that Ghana Jollof doesn’t have anywhere to run to anymore. Where she stays, where she works, and everything about her is known now,” he said.

Adorye also questioned why the security agencies were unable to establish Ghana Jollof’s identity before the arrest of Salomey Awity, arguing that authorities now have access to her passport details and other identifying information.

“When she was leaving the airport for the UK, her check-in picture and video are there, including her three children. When she was boarding the flight, everything was captured,” he alleged.

He further claimed that security officials have identified her workplace and have conducted checks to verify her identity.

“We know where she works now and people have gone there to verify and she is the one. I can assure the whole nation that she has been tracked and she will be brought soon,” Adorye stated.

The Ghana Police Service has declared Ghana Jollof wanted over an alleged case of incitement of violence.

A wanted-person notice issued by the Police identifies Kodua as a 40-year-old woman who is fair in complexion and was last seen at the Accra International Airport on August 4, 2022.

The Police said she is suspected to be hiding in the United Kingdom.

The Service has appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in locating her.

According to the notice, anyone with information on her whereabouts can report to the nearest police station or contact the Police on 0500100010.

The Police also directed the public to its official website and social media platforms for further information.

The Service urged anyone who knows Kodua’s whereabouts to cooperate with the Police and assist in efforts to locate her.
