The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, was heckled by fans at the Accra Sports Stadium following the Black Stars’ 4-2 defeat to The Gambia on September 29, 2026.
After the team conceded the third goal, with their performance being quite abysmal, the GFA President, together with other members of the association, departed the scene.
The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, was also among the personalities leaving the VIP section at the stadium to avoid any controversy after the game.

However, their departure was met with outbursts from aggrieved fans who approached Kurt Okraku to express their displeasure, with some attempting to attack him during the heated moment.
Security personnel present quickly surrounded Kurt Okraku and other dignitaries and prevented the angry fans from getting to him before he left the scene.
This apparently forms part of the growing displeasure among the masses, with calls for the GFA boss to resign from his role following the dwindling fortunes of Ghana football.
