A Ghanaian man has called on the security agencies to take immediate action against a homeless foreign national in Tema, suggesting that he may have disguised himself as a pauper to engage in nefarious activities in the city.

The call follows an incident at the Tema Community 9 Motorway Roundabout interchange, where the man identified as a Nigerian national was allegedly cooking at a spot by the roadside.

In a video shared on X, the Ghanaian man is seen asking the Nigerian to pack up his belongings and leave the area.

The man initially claimed to be citizen but later allegedly admitted that he was Nigerian but lived in Ghana, according to the Ghanaian who confronted him.

He expressed concern that cooking at the roadside could expose him and other road users to danger, and urged him to leave the area.

He also claimed that other Nigerian nationals were engaging in similar activities in the area and called on the police and immigration authorities to intervene.

“I asked him, and he claimed he was Ghanaian, but upon further interrogation, he admitted that he is a Nigerian staying here. Look at the environment where he is cooking at the roadside.

“Some of these guys are spies and deliberately disguise themselves as mad people, but when you observe them carefully, they are not.

“Ghana Police and Immigration must take these issues seriously because the majority of these people are unscrupulous,” he said.

After the confrontation, the foreign national was seen slowly packing up his belongings, including several Ghana Must Go bags and other items he had with him.
