GhanaWeb has learnt that an Accra High Court has directed the defence team of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene and others to file their submission of no case to answer by today, September 25, 2026, in the GH¢49 million cybersecurity case.

The directive comes after the court initially set November 5, 2026, to deliver its judgment in the case.

The judgment date was announced after the defence, led by counsel Samuel Atta Akyea, concluded the cross-examination of the State’s fourth and final prosecution witness on September 8, 2026.

Justice Francis Achibonga, who is presiding over the case, subsequently gave the defence two weeks to file its “submission of no case to answer.”

The judge also directed the prosecution to file its response within two weeks after being served with the defence’s submission.

The accused persons are facing charges of alleged embezzlement and financial misconduct in connection with a $7 million (GH¢49 million) contract for a cyber defence system.
