Ghanaian actor Yaw Adu, also known professionally as Sumsum Ahoufe, has opened up about how some peers and individuals he knows allegedly acquired wealth through what is commonly described as ‘money ritual.’

Speaking to KayB Media, the Ghanaian actor stated that there are several towns in Ghana where money rituals take place and that he is very much aware of some of these towns, although he cannot publicly name them.

Sumsum said he has never followed anyone for money rituals before. However, he explained that through conversations with some of his boys who had gone down that path, they shared details of their experiences with him.

According to the actor, some of his boys, some of whom are dead while others are alive, used to engage in internet fraud and performed rituals involving goat droppings and cow dung.

He explained that some of them would use goat droppings to bath, while others would soak the droppings in water for days and sprinkle the mixture on themselves.

They believed these practices would help the spirits they were working with to make them successful in their internet fraud activities.

“I know some of my boys who were involved in internet fraud. Some are dead, while others are alive. You will see them sitting behind a computer, and they would have used goat droppings to bath.

"Others would soak the goat droppings in water for days and sprinkle it on themselves because they believe the spirit they are working with likes goat droppings and cow dung, and that using them will make the spirit help them make money through internet fraud,” he shared.

He further claimed that another sacrifice involved a man having sexual intercourse with a woman and allegedly spiritually taking away her womb, which, according to the belief, would prevent the woman from giving birth again and make the man wealthy.

“There is another sacrifice where a man has sex with a woman and spiritually takes her womb. In that case, the woman cannot give birth again. So, if the man has sex with you and takes your womb, it is believed that this will make him wealthy,” he stated.

Sumsum further explained that individuals involved in internet fraud often have what he described as spiritual backing, arguing that, in his view, one cannot successfully engage in such activities without some form of spiritual support.

He said that without such spiritual backing or “solidification”, the “white men” would eventually become aware that they were being scammed and would learn from the experience, making it difficult for the fraudsters to continue deceiving them.

The actor also addressed stories about people allegedly turning into animals and vomiting money as part of money rituals, insisting that he personally knows someone who, he claims, has been involved in such practices.

“I also know someone who eats toilet. I know someone who, on Sundays, is locked in a room, where the person turn into an animal and vomit money,” Sumsum stated.

According to him, he has maintained close relationships with some of these individuals for a very long time and, as a result, has learned about some of the things and taboos they observe.

He said, for instance, that people involved in money rituals are believed to avoid close contact with women who are menstruating. He also claimed that they avoid associating closely with women who have had sexual intercourse with another man.

Sumsum further noted that although he has been in the movie industry for decades, he has not been able to amass huge wealth, such as owning several cars and houses, like some of his colleagues, including Kwaku Manu and Lil Win, who joined the industry after him.

However, he said he is content with what he has and does not allow the lifestyles of others to make him jealous.

He stressed that if he allowed the wealth and lifestyles of his colleagues to make him envious, he might have been tempted to seek what he described as “blood money.”
