A 12-year-old boy, identified as Prince Daniel, has become the youngest student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

In a series of TikTok videos sighted by GhanaWeb, on September 19, 2026, Prince Daniel sat the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and recorded an impressive performance, with his lowest grade being C.

He was captured in the video at the university premises in the company of his father and elder brother as he prepares to begin his studies.

This development is believed to be an achievement for the family as Prince Daniel reportedly breaks record of his own brother who held the record of the youngest student at UEW.

Prince Daniel’s elder brother is said to have joined the university at the age of 13 in the previous year, making him the youngest student at the institution at the time.

This means the family has produced the youngest student at UEW in two consecutive years.

University of Ghana announces deadline for 2026/2027 admissions

At an age when many children in Ghana would normally be in primary or secondary school, Prince Daniel has already reached the university level.

When asked about what motivated him to achieve the feat at such a young age, he attributed his success to God.
