Aspiring National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, has urged the party to intensify grassroots mobilisation to address voter apathy ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The former Greater Accra Regional Minister said the party must begin its reorganisation at the polling station level, arguing that this is where elections are ultimately won and lost.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s Face to Face with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Titus-Glover said the NPP’s expanded polling station structure must immediately begin engaging and mobilising supporters.

According to him, the structure now comprises seven officers — Chairman, Secretary, Organiser, Youth Organiser, Women Organiser, Communication Officer and Electoral Affairs Officer.

He said the officers have a crucial role to play in reconnecting with supporters and encouraging them to turn out to vote.

“They need to go on the ground and start mobilising our people up. And for me, that is the key. Elections are won there. That is where the elections are declared,” he said.

Titus-Glover attributed part of the NPP’s electoral defeat to low voter turnout among its supporters.

He said his engagements with delegates across the country had reinforced his view that many NPP supporters failed to turn up at the polls.

“There are so many factors that will culminate in apathy. But hey, we’re in opposition. You don’t want to remain in opposition like that,” he said.

“As I move around the 16 regions talking to delegates in all the constituencies, I keep telling them, it is because you do not come out to vote. That is why we are where we are.”

He further argued that increased turnout among NPP supporters could have affected the party’s electoral performance.

“The President had an additional 100,000 votes, not because he did so much magic. If our people had come out to vote, we would not be where we are now,” he stated.

Titus-Glover acknowledged that the party made mistakes and urged members to accept them and focus on rebuilding.

“So clearly we admit we might have done some few mistakes. Let’s take that in our stride and come out,” he said.

He described the polling station structure as the foundation of the party’s grassroots operations.

“The polling station structure, that is where the work is. It is right at the base,” he added.

He therefore called for the reorganisation to begin immediately, saying supporters with concerns following the party’s electoral defeat must be reassured.

“So if we don’t start to organise ourselves immediately, that is where the issues will start coming up. They may have that genuine concern, but we need to reassure them now. We have moved on. We have learnt our mistakes. What do we do going forward?” he said.

Titus-Glover is seeking to become the NPP’s National Organiser as the party prepares for the 2028 elections.
