That philosophy has earned the brand two IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Gold Awards at IFA 2026. The TECNO Modular Phone received the Ultra-Slim Magnetic Modular Technology Innovation Gold Award, while the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS (MEGA MINI G1 Pro) took home the Miniaturized Gaming PC Technology Innovation Gold Award.

The recognition reflects TECNO's continued work across smartphone, computing and gaming technology, where the brand is combining unconventional form factors with advanced engineering.



4.9mm of Modular Innovation

The TECNO Modular Phone demonstrates how a smartphone can become thinner while introducing an entirely new approach to modularity.

At only 4.9mm, the device is the world's slimmest modular smartphone. Its proprietary Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology combines a precision magnetic array with pogo-pin connectors to support ten high-performance modules.
The system allows users to attach modules according to their needs, with the host device retaining a 3000–4000mAh battery while connected modules draw power directly.

Its portless unibody design also achieves an IP rating for dust and water resistance.

TECNO has positioned the Modular Phone as a physical gateway for personal AI assistants, designed to help address the increasing hardware demands of AI while maintaining an ultra-slim form factor.

The concept has received more than 20 accolades from international media, including CNET, Android Authority, Yanko Design and The Verge. CNET and Yanko Design included it among their Best of MWC 2026, while The Verge named it the Best Mobile Tech at MWC 2026.

With mass production expected soon, the Modular Phone represents a step toward bringing its experimental technology into a broader product experience.



Where Italian Design Meets Gaming Performance

The Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS (MEGA MINI G1 Pro) takes a different approach to innovation, combining compact engineering with the unmistakable visual character of Italian design.

At approximately 6.36 liters, TAURUS is one of the world's smallest water-cooled gaming PCs. Its vertical chassis features a panoramic transparent window, showcasing the internal hardware while emphasizing the bold design language of the Tonino Lamborghini collaboration.

The compact PC is powered by an Intel® Core™ i9-13900HK processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5060, delivering 614 AI TOPS, 145W TGP and DLSS 4.

Its water-cooling system supports sustained peak frequencies under demanding workloads, while 15 ports, including OCuLink and USB4, and Wi-Fi 6E provide connectivity for gaming, content creation and AI applications.

The design has also earned recognition from Yanko Design through a Best of MWC award.

The two award-winning products form part of a wider portfolio that TECNO presented at IFA 2026.
