The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cleared all 47 aspirants who went through vetting to contest various positions in the party’s 2026 National Officers Elections.

The party’s National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) announced the development in a statement dated September 5, 2026, following the completion of the vetting exercise.

According to the statement, the National Officers Election Vetting Committee (NOEVC) conducted the exercise from August 31 to September 3, 2026, in line with the timetable issued by the NOEC.

A total of 47 aspirants competing across nine categories of national officer positions appeared before the Vetting Committee.

The committee assessed the documentation submitted by the aspirants, engaged them during the vetting process and considered the applicable eligibility requirements before submitting its report to the NOEC.

The NOEC said the Vetting Committee had recommended all 47 aspirants as suitable and eligible to contest the respective positions for which they filed their nominations.

“Accordingly, all 47 aspirants have been CLEARED TO CONTEST, subject to the processes provided under the applicable rules governing the elections,” the statement said.

The committee added that the cleared aspirants were distributed across nine national officer positions.

The NPP further disclosed that "balloting for the positions on the ballot paper will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Party's Headquarters at Asylum Down, Accra."
