The University of Ghana (UG) has set 11:59 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as the deadline for applicants to complete their 2026/2027 admissions applications.
According to a statement issued by the university on September 5, 2026, following the release of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, applicants have been advised to log into the UG applications portal again to review the accuracy of information submitted.

It urged applicants to particularly check their “Full Name and Date of Birth” as well as their examination records, including “Index Number, Exam Month, and Exam Year.”
The university has also urged applicants to review the entry requirements before making their programme selections.
“Refer to the UG 2025/2026 entry cut-off aggregates for various programmes and make realistic choices,” the university stated.
It noted that applications for the 2026/2027 admissions cycle remain open to applicants who have received their WASSCE results.
“Please note that applications for 2026/2027 admissions are still open for applicants with WASSEC results,” the university said.
The university cautioned applicants to complete their applications before the deadline.
“The application portal will be closed at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026,” it added.
